General

What's your availability?


Our availability is always changing, contact us for more info!




Why are there no addresses for your houses on the website?


For the security of our current residents living in our spaces, we do not reveal the exact address of the spaces until you receive an offer. All of our houses are close to public transportation. Please contact us, if you would like a tour.




Do I have to be sober?


No, but we do not allow drugs or alcohol on the premises. We believe in harm reduction as a housing first principle. See the principles of harm reduction here.




How long can I stay?


We place no limitations on how long you can stay, some people stay as little as one month and we have some residents who have been with us for over 3 years!




What is included in my rent?


Your bed, utilities, wifi, move-in ready furniture, constant access to your House Manager, Netflix, 2 prepared meals, and new friends :)




Can I receive mail at the house?


Of course! Just address your mail to your house’s address and our staff will make sure it gets inside.




Can I bring my pet?


We accept cats and dogs on a case-by-case basis.




Do you allow tours?


We conduct a phone assessment of all potential clients, if you have been deemed a good fit for Rooted Life, then you are welcome to tour!





Payments

Is there a credit check?


There is no credit check.




Do you accept Section 8?


We are in the process of accepting Section 8, please contact us for more details.




Is there a deposit?


Yes, there is a small, fully refundable deposit to cover any potential damages.




How do I pay?


Cashier's check or money order (by mail) Direct deposit (online, option for automatic billing) Credit card (3.5% fee, online, option for automatic billing)




When do I pay?


1st of each month




What does it cost?


Our bed rates vary from $800 to $1550 per month. Please contact us for more details.





Community

Do all of your houses have House Managers?


Yes, we have live-in staff available 24/7.




Are there house rules?


Yes. Your Housing Coordinator will review them with you in your initial phone interview.




How do you create a sense of community?


Through our House Managers (who will meet you upon arrival) - our team is dedicated to give you a sense of community you are looking for. We encourage socialization and communication to improve social skills, but you may choose to be as involved or uninvolved as you'd like.
